Today I'd like to share about a recent article.
Triclosan, is one of the 19 ingredients that have not been proven to be safe.
In fact, it may lead to long term harm!
Triclosan has been registered under US EPA as a pesticide since 1969!!
For so long, it has been marketed that using anti-bacterial handwash / toothpaste is better than regular soaps and toothpaste. Thankfully authorities are now stepping in to do a cleanup of common products by common brands to remove harmful substances.
What can consumers like us do?
To safeguard the health of you and your family, you can read the label on the bottle of your handwash, body wash and toothpaste that you have at home.Check for the word "triclosan".
An example is shown below.
Are there safe sources of hand wash / body wash / toothpaste?
The Bright and White toothpaste does not contain harmful ingredients. It is safe for use by any adult.
The Happy Toothpaste is suitable for young kids.
The Elemente Anti-bacterial hand wash does not contain Triclosan. It is mild yet effective to wash our hands.
