Vegecolor SoyPRO Konnyaku Jelly

Do you know how much fiber is required daily to ensure smooth bowels?

(Smooth bowels daily means we are effectively preventing constipation, haemorroids, and colectoral cancer later in life. )

32 grams of Fiber = 11.5 regular apples

Yes! That's how much you need! Are you consuming that much fiber daily?

If you feel that it is difficult for adults to intake so much fiber, then how about children?

Vegecolor contains 28 different freeze-dried vegetables. For me, I like it that it helps with my bowels. And hence I add it to konnyaku jelly. Adding a tinge of FUN and HEALTH to food! 😁

Stay tubed for my recipe!

Rainbow Sushi

Many a times, it is not easy to feed children with vegetables. Even if they eat the vegetables, it will only be that few types that they like only.

For example for my kid, she likes cucumber, cauliflower and sometimes carrot.

However, I know that that little bit of vegetables is not sufficient for her! She needs a large variety of vegetables to keep her bowels healthy, and also to boost her immune system.

Very thankful, I found Vegecolor. One sachet contains 28 different freeze-dried vegetables! This means she will get the vitamins, antioxidants and phytochemicals from all these 28 different vegetables.

Hence I always think of different ways to ensure my girl eats her Vegecolor. Making rainbow sushi is one easy way and she loves it!

Just mix a packet of Vegecolor into the rice and mix.

Once you learn the basics of rolling sushi, you can roll the sushi whichever way your family likes it.

Check out the simple recipe here.

I recovered from Food Poisoning within 2 days

I have never felt that being able to eat is a blessing.

It is such a normal thing that we do everyday. All until I had food poisoning and could not eat ANYTHING! 😰

It all started on Saturday evening.

Saturday Evening
I felt very nausea. Couldn't eat dinner.

Sunday
When I woke up, I had several bouts of diarrhoea. The nauseating feeling 😡 was immense. But thankfully no vomiting.

I did not have any fever at all. Just no appetite.

When my family was eating great food, all I could do was look and then go back to sleep. 😞

Monday
Thankfully the diarrhoea stopped on Monday. I could eat more already.

Tuesday
By Tuesday, I have recovered and could go back to work.

So how did I recover in 2 days without any medication?

I trusted the BEST DOCTOR in the WORLD - my immune system. πŸ’–

On Saturday when I felt nausea, I started taking Millenium and Orchestra.
Through Sunday, although I could not eat or drink, I could still sip Millennium and Orchestra.

Orchestra is very strong on detoxification. Hence very helpful to clear "poisons" from my bout of food poisoning.

Millennium is very strong in strengthening my immune system. When I nourish my BEST DOCTOR in the WORLD, it takes good care of me and help me recover fast.

So do I stop there?

No!

During food poisoning, I know that the balance of my flora of gut bacteria has been disrupted.
As such, I need to re-balance the gut bacteria.

Many people will tell me to use probiotics.

I choose a more natural source instead. πŸ˜„

- 28 different freeze-dried vegetables - wholesome, nutritious, natural.  ~ VEGECOLOR
- top up with non-GMO organic soy - SOYGREEN

Whole fruits and vegetables, containing fibre, antioxidants, and phytochemicals, will naturally restore the bacteria balance in our gut.

I feel really blessed that I know about Nutritional Immunology.

Because it is only through Nutritional immunology, that I learnt the most natural way to nourish my immune system.

Love my immune system
My immune system will love me and take very good care of me. πŸ˜„

Barley Beancurd Dessert (腐竹薏米糖水)

Hello Happy Chinese New Year to you!!!

Holiday periods are great time to relax and cook. I have time to indulge in cooking healthy meals for my family. I get to add or omit ingredients as per the preference of myself and my family.

So today, I cooked the Barley Beancurd dessert as breakfast for my family.
(Notice that I did not use Ginkgo. I shall explain the reason later in the blog.)

First, let me share the recipe. :-)

Recipe

Ingredients
- 100g of pearl barley, rinsed
- 50g of beancurd skin (the ones for cooking dessert, not for frying), soak in water till soft
- 2 pandan leaf, rinsed and tied to a knot
- 3 pieces of candied winter melon

Step 1 - Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2 - Put all the ingredients in a pot.
Step 3 - Add water, about 3 times the height of the ingredients.
Step 4 - Boil the mixture for about 1 hour, or to the softness that you like.

A delicious bowl of dessert awaits you!

Benefits of High Fibre breakfast

1) Control blood sugar, read my earlier health bulletin on diabetes.
2) Cleansing of the body.
3) Prevent colon-related problems and haemorroids
4) Helps in slimming.

If you do not have the luxury of time to cook, consider these convenient yet very healthy breakfast options!

Convenient Sources of High Fibre breakfast

1) Oxyginberry EverstayD Vegecolor all in 2 cups!

2) 1 packet of toHusk

P.S. Why I do not include ginkgo into my desserts.

Because there is a lack of evidence that it is helpful to health.
Because the known side effects OUTWEIGH the known benefits.

Stringent Tests carried out at Raw Material level, and at Product level

Hello!!!

This post is primarily catered for people who are interested in healthy and safe foods.

Let us explore what is considered "Healthy" and "Safe".

Healthy

Are Organic foods healthier?

There is a perception that organic foods are healthier. However based on Wikipedia, there is difficulty in confirming these claimed benefits scientifically.

Are home-cooked food / self-prepared food healthier?

It depends on how the food is processed.
If you are cooking the vegetables, some temperature-sensitive nutrients will be destroyed.
If you add too much seasonings like Oyster sauce, or MSG, there may be excessive amounts of salt, which may lead to hypertension.

Contrast this with freeze dried foods such as Vegecolor. Read more here!

Safe

Are organic foods definitely safe?

According to Wikipedia, "there is no sufficient evidence in medical literature to support claims that organic food is safer or healthier than conventionally grown food."

Are there other options in the market?

YES!

- Non-genetically modified food.
- Foods grown to a suitable age for optimized nutrition.
- Stringent tests carried out at raw foods level, and at Product level.
- Specific packaging technology to ensure no loss of nutrients.

A Convenient and Healthy Breakfast

A regular work day for me, begins with early morning conference calls, starting at 7am.

I work very closely with USA, and so need to have regular meetings with them.

After that, I will start a hectic day at work.
Sitting down to have a plate of breakfast is considered too much of a luxury.

But, as the phrase goes, EAT BREAKFAST LIKE A KING

Why?

There was no food intake for 8 hours of sleep. Naturally, our body will absorb what we eat very well.

So?

So, what we eat for our first meal becomes very important.

If we eat oily food, our body absorbs cholesterol, calories...

If we take in lots of fruits and vegetables, the antioxidants and phytochemicals will be absorbed, nourishing our body.

If we eat high fibre food and drink water, the toxins / wastes will be purged out of our body.

What breakfast do you take?

This will determine what health benefits you gain.

So what do I take first thing in the morning?

1) 1 cup of Oxyginberry
2) 1 cup of EverstayD + Vegecolor

Benefits

1) Conveniently consume more than 100 times the antioxidant and phytochemicals, compared to eating an orange in the morning.

2) The ginseng and ginseng berry in Oxyginberry improves mood and attention, a great way to start the day.

3) The fibre and nutrients from EverstayD + Vegecolor cleanses my body first thing in the morning.

4) The best thing of all, is that consuming these 2 cups of super-foods, takes less than 10 mins! Very suitable for busy working mummies like me.

I'd recommend that you give this a try as well!

Vegecolor Konnyaku Jelly

Last month my darling little girl turned 1 year old. I catered food for my guests.

But since it is a special day, I wanted to let my guests enjoy something home-made, healthy and refreshing. So I made this Triflora Vegecolor dessert.

My guests feedback that this is a unique and refreshing dessert. Even the kids like it. :D

So I'm sharing my recipe here.

Recipe

1) Prepare 1 packet of Konnyaku powder, 1 packet of Triflora tea, 1 packet of Vegecolor

2) Prepare the cups. Add any fruits that you like. Put these cups aside.

3) Prepare a pot with 950ml of water. Put in Triflora tea bag. Put on low fire until water has boiled.
4) At the mean time, prepare a mixture containing 1 packet of Konnyaku powder and 400g or sugar.

5) When the water has boiled, SLOWLY pour in the mixture of Konnyaku powder and sugar. Continue to stir until all the sugar and powder has dissolved.

6) Remove the pot from the fire. Slowly stir in Vegecolor powder. Stir until all the Vegecolor powder is homogenous in the pot.

7) Scoop up the jelly into pre-prepared cups. Garnish with more fruits as you like.

DONE! :D

Hope you enjoyed this recipe. :)
Cheers!

Vegecolor and Recipes

What is Vegecolor?

It contains 29 different types of fruits and vegetables within 1 sachet. Many of the plants are freeze dried, so nutrients and fiber are all locked within the sachet.

Which Fruits and Vegetables are there?

Do I need so many colors and types of fruits and vegetables everyday?

Yes!!
The benefits are shown below.

Who can consume Vegecolor?

Anyone who can swallow food can take Vegecolor, including babies > 6 months old.

Vegecolor is especially beneficial for babies. When babies are exposed to a large variety of fruits and vegetables from young, it can help to reduce the chance of allergies in future.

How do we consume Vegecolor?

The Vegecolor powder can be conveniently poured onto the porridge for the baby.

It can be added onto salad or any food.

It can be added into jelly.

The jelly moulded into alphabet shapes are especially popular with kids.

Do you want to give Vegecolor a try?
