Vegecolor SoyPRO Konnyaku Jelly

Do you know how much fiber is required daily to ensure smooth bowels?

(Smooth bowels daily means we are effectively preventing constipation, haemorroids, and colectoral cancer later in life. )

32 grams of Fiber = 11.5 regular apples

Yes! That's how much you need! Are you consuming that much fiber daily?

If you feel that it is difficult for adults to intake so much fiber, then how about children?

Vegecolor contains 28 different freeze-dried vegetables. For me, I like it that it helps with my bowels. And hence I add it to konnyaku jelly. Adding a tinge of FUN and HEALTH to food! 😁

Stay tubed for my recipe!

Rainbow Sushi

Many a times, it is not easy to feed children with vegetables. Even if they eat the vegetables, it will only be that few types that they like only.

For example for my kid, she likes cucumber, cauliflower and sometimes carrot.

However, I know that that little bit of vegetables is not sufficient for her! She needs a large variety of vegetables to keep her bowels healthy, and also to boost her immune system.

Very thankful, I found Vegecolor. One sachet contains 28 different freeze-dried vegetables! This means she will get the vitamins, antioxidants and phytochemicals from all these 28 different vegetables.

Hence I always think of different ways to ensure my girl eats her Vegecolor. Making rainbow sushi is one easy way and she loves it!

Just mix a packet of Vegecolor into the rice and mix.

Once you learn the basics of rolling sushi, you can roll the sushi whichever way your family likes it.

Mango Sago Pomelo

From the number of posts, I guess you will know that I like to cook healthy food for my family.

My husband loves to eat mango sago pomelo. This dessert requires coconut milk, which is not as healthy as many people think.

According to American Heart Association,

Coconut oil, extracted from the meat of what can loosely be called a seed, a fruit or a nut,
(link opens in new window) is mostly saturated fat, about 82 percentOne tablespoon adds up(link opens in new window)(link opens in new window) to more than 11 grams of saturated fats, according to the federal National Nutrient Database. That’s nearly the total daily limit of 13 grams recommended by the American Heart Association(link opens in new window)(link opens in new window).

So yup... I wouldn't want to be the one responsible to cause heart problems for my hubby.....

Hence I choose to use SoyPro to replace coconut milk.

It's really yummy!

My hubby love it, kiddo loves it, helper and me loves it too!!!!

ι»‘η™½

Circuit Breaker (due to coronavirus) is the time where I start to feel really thankful that in Singapore, we have easy and cheap access to many yummy foods.
It is in circuit breaker season that I start to miss all these hawker food.

So I made ι»‘η™½ , the super common beverage in hawker centers.
In hawker centers, they use soyabean milk and grass jelly.

For me, I use a combination of SoyPro and RaisinTree! 😍

It's very high in protein and detoxing for our liver.

Healthy "Bubble Tea"

The circuit breaker measures in Singapore has closed all bubble tea shops in Singapore.

When bubble tea was allowed, I tried to resist drinking it.
However now that it is closed, I am craving it and have to find a way to make the boba.

As always, I want to enjoy the yummy beverages, but in a healthier style.

Here's my "Bubble Milk Tea" with no tea, no cow milk and home-made bubble! 😍
I did it the style of 脏脏ε₯ΆθŒΆ, where the "brown" layer coats the cup. Haha!

Why did I choose wholesome SOY milk instead cos milk?

When a person has eczema, doctors will say stop dairy products. When a person has diarrhoea, doctors will say stop dairy products. Have you asked yourself why this is so?

For me, I am reading more and more scientific papers that animal milk increases inflammation in our body. And inflammation is the start of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases, and some autoimmune disease like eczema.

To understand more, see my post on Dalgona-style beverage why I choose SOY milk instead of Cow milk.

How did I create that brown "syrup"?

For many recipes, they use brown sugar. However, I chose to use RaisinTree to give the brown color.

RaisinTree is the nature's way to protect our liver. This is a herb from Korea, where Koreans take it prior to drinking, and it helps their liver to break down the alcohol.
Hence, when we take RaisinTree, it enhances our liver function. This helps our body detox. In other words, it helps in weight loss. 😍😍

Healthy Dalgona-Style Beverage!

Dalgona coffee : It's quite a craze now!!!!

I looked at so many of their youtube recipes... and realize one commonality. All of them requires quite a lot of sugar to be added, and animal milk is required. πŸ˜“

I have always known that cow's milk is related to Osteoporosis, hence do not wish to use milk.

After several failed attempts, let me share with you my version of Healthier Dalgona-style beverage. Still enjoy very yummy beverage with healthier ingredients and no sugar added!

Ingredients

Why did I choose to use Soy Milk instead?

The reason is because of the high Protein content of Soy. Whole soybean contains 12 times the protein of milk, 4 times of eggs and 2 times of meat. Now you know why bodybuilders drink Soy Shakes?

Do you know that our immune system needs Quality Proteins daily?

Proteins are used by all parts of our body, down to the cells.

Healthier Vegan Mayonnaise

Hello!!!

WOW!!! Does this look delicious?

To me this looks so delicious. πŸ˜‹ But then again I usually avoid mayonnaise because it is pretty fattening. Do you know that mayonnaise is made from about 3 cups of oil to 1 cup of milk? That's a LOT of CHOLESTEROL and FATS!!! 😱

Hence this started my search for healthier versions of mayonnaise, so that I can still enjoy it without much guilt.
Read on to find out more!

There are only 3 ingredients required for this yummy healthier version of Vegan Mayonnaise.

1) E Excel Blended cooking oil
- This is 95.5% macadamia nut oil + 4.5% Perilla seed oil.
- The omega 3 : omega 6 ratio is 1:1. Do note that many vegetable oils have exceedingly low omega 3 to omega 6 ratio, and this has be found to lead to inflammation in the body, which leads to chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and degenerative diseases such as cancer.

- The smoke point is high, at 210C. This means this oils is suitable for cooking, if you are thinking of putting mayonnaise in your cookng.

2) SoyPro
- SoyPro contains Wholesome Soy + Jilin ginseng.
- Soy has 12 times the amount of protein of milk, making this mayonnaise so much healthier than the regular one.
- Protein is required everywhere in our body, from cells, to skin, to bones.

3) Soup de EExcel
- This soup is made from wholesome non-GMO Soy and more than 11 types of freeze-dried vegetables. This adds flavour to the mayonnaise.

You can view the procedure to make your own mayonnaise. It's easy!
And the BEST is, we can enjoy yummy food without having to feel so guilty!

Try it and let me know how it taste ok?
